The Quokka, always happy to pose for a selfie and happy to share a bottle of water on a hot day. These little marsupials are the cutest little things. A few days after we visited Rottenest Island the news was all over a little Quokka named Steve who had escaped the island on a ferry. He was found a few days later and returned to the island. I can just imagine the adventure he had!
It feels like ages since I've completed a layout. I love the clustered style layouts and have been admiring the cut file style, stencil layouts and wanted to try it for a while.
I've used CTMH papers and complements from a few different retired collections. The cut out was from a Basic Cricut font. I've added a tag which slides under the layers for my journalling, not seen in here as I added it after I took the photos.
The speckled background was created using re-inkers (Toffee & New England Ivy) and a water-brush to flick the ink on the background.
It feels good to create a layout using all old papers from my stash, not that the pile has gotten any smaller.
